About Me

Miss Lindsay grew up in Kindersley, SK and started dancing at the age of five.  She started with Carol Ann Hanson of Hanson School of Dance and in her later years trained under Eloise Sitter of Sitter School of Dance.  Growing up she took classes in all genres of dance including tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, pointe and musical theatre.  During her dance training she completed her exams in ballet, tap and jazz through the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA), Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT), and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).  Upon graduating from high school Lindsay continued dancing and completed her student dance exams.  In 2009 Lindsay received her Teachers Training Certificate through the Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (ADAPT) from Brian and Faye Foley, who had a deep impact on who she would become as a dance teacher.

Lindsay auditioned and was a member of the Dare to Dance Company for three consecutive years from 2001 – 2003.  During these years she had the opportunity to train under the Emmy Award winning Artistic Director, David Connolly as well as many other talented and recognized teachers and choreographers such as: Andrea Palmer, Scott Kufske, Sarah Nolan Downs and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal.

Lindsay went on to own her own dance studio, Rocky Mountain Dance Academy, in Bragg Creek, AB.  Rocky Mountain Dance Academy ran for four successful years and grew to having 102 dancers, 3 teachers and her students winning many awards at the various competitions they attended throughout Alberta.  Due to a personal life change, in 2012 Lindsay moved back to her hometown of Kindersley and had to close her studio.  Lindsay taught at Premier Dance in Kindersley for the past four years and is thankful for the opportunity she had to get to know the students and studio owners.

Throughout her dance training and 20 years involved in this wonderful world of dance, Lindsay has competed in many competitions, conventions and master classes.  Over the past 14 years she has taught a wide variety of classes for students ages 3 – 18 years old, as well as adults and seniors fitness. She has taught a range of dance styles including Acro, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Pointe, Stretch & Conditioning and Tap.  Many of Lindsay’s students have successfully competed in competitions as well as in dance exams.
